catsleepingeverywere: The big apple

Personally I´m not a fan of the "american culture", I dont understand why they call themself "american´s" or call their country like that, also don´t share some of their politics like the free use to weapons, but I have to say that I like one part of this big country called United States, I think that I love New York.

All this love begins watching movies, more especific Breaksfast At Tiffanys, I like everything, but obviously the part of the movie when Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn), walk around the empty streets of New york showing the arquitecture and a the city that never slepps in total calm like the empty heart of holly, a person who is like the city, showing a lot of atractions, light and noisy but in the inside a city full of secrets and lonely that´s almost nostalgic. In other parts of the movie you can see, the public librery, one carrusell in a large park, the buildings, specially the home of holly, this olders buildings with an european anquitecture an thats "fire stairs" that help you most in social events to meet new people or run away when your´s own party bored you, also this little lokers in the entrance that you only can put one perfum and you lipstick instead your mail.

Also another thing that I like of new york is the snow, I know that exist other places in the world where also snow, but I like more the great view of the icerink of Central Park, all that people skating and the icerink illuminated with colorfull christmas lights, with that picture I totally will gone to the big apple on winter to enjoy the weather (for more crazy that sounds), I really like a snowing christmas.

Other thing that I like about New York is that spite to America or United States is a country of mix cultures, the only city that you fell that more is in this city, because through the art history you can see that mostly of the contemporany art beggins in New York, I think that because of that mix of cultures pop art, perfomatic art and other arts, like dance or music was so important.

But the more I like about New york is the infinite of possibilites.
